ETHICS IN MEDIA

1. REIGNING ON THE PARADE
In this case study a guy by the name of Frank Whelan is a writer for a column in Pennsylvania. Whelan, was apart in a gay pride parade with his husband of 25 years. He then faced consequences foe his action because his job had a code saying that writers could not participate in things that show there views. I think that people should be aloud to participate what ever political things they want to no matter what there job is because they are allowed to have there own opinions.

2. CONTROVERSY OVER A CONCERT
In this case members of the eagles raised money for a democrat campaign, by putting on a concert. John temple a publisher for the Rocky Mountain News told his reporters not to go to the concert, as it was against their policy to raise money for any campaign. some of his workers took this in a bad way because they think that he doesn't trust them enough to go out and report fairly. Im kinda natural about this because I see how John doesn't want them going because it breaks their policy. I also see how the reports want to go out and report on this topic because this is their job and even though some people might not support it it is still something that is going on in our world.
